Hiking

Over 100 kilometers marked trails with benches and look-out pavilions which seduce you to make forays through the wild and romantic low mountain landscape. From easy valley trails through the romantic area of the Koser- and Schorgasttal up to serpentine climbs to the mountains around Wirsberg where many challenges are offered.

Since September 2015 the natural park Frankenwald from Bavaria has been the first quality area for hiking in Germany. Also two circular routes in Wirsberg, the "Franzosenweg" and the "Goldener-Falk-Weg", have already been certified.

The barrier-free valley trail along the stream in the area Schorgasttal is also accessible for people with disabilities and wheelchair.

 Public toilets are in the passage under the town hall (opened all-the-year) and at the caravan parking space in the Schorgasttal (opened from about April till October).
